NPC Managing Director Meeting with Petrochemical Industry Association of Employers
A number of members and board directors of Petrochemical Industry Association of Employers had a meeting with Mr. Sheri Moghadam, the managing director of National Petrochemical Company (NPC).

According to Jam petrochemical complex public relations cited from NIPNA, in this meeting the members of the association presented their suggestions regarding adjusting the feed price and supporting complementary industries development. Mr. Peivandi, the assistant of the managing director of NPC, explained about the NPC plans to define the feed price, and special investment motivators in private section of the industry and said that the priority in our goal setting is the improvement and development of Iran petrochemical industry.

As per Mr. Sheri Moghadam’s suggestion, it was agreed that specific expert committees be formed and investigate the details of the suggestions and presented subjects so that they can decide about them in the next meeting. Issues like taking 1% of environmental contamination taxes to be included generally in petrochemical industries and refineries; and article No.1 of Code No. 38, about value added tax, which had not been agreed upon by petrochemical companies were discussed. Finally, it was agreed that broad consultation with Majlis and Environment Department representatives be done. Moreover, it was agreed that two utility producers in Asalooyeh and Mahshahr regions form expert committees in regard to stock transfer and render the results to the members of the meeting in order to make decisions.

To protect the environment, the managing director of Jam petrochemical company suggested that forestation be done around the torches of South Pars energy zone by petrochemical complexes and South Pars gas company.
