Visiting Jam Petrochemical Complex, news directors, and editors of Khabar (News) Network talked with Engineer Behehshtian in a meeting Wednesday afternoon.

 

As reported by public relations of Jam Petrochemicals, emphasizing on the relationship between media and industry, CEO of Jam Petrochemicals said: Iran has the best position for producing petrochemicals because of its special situation in the world.

 

Declaring that petrochemical industry enjoys a unique competitive advantage, he added: Petrochemistry is the first industry in Iran that may be regarded as a non-oil symbol, the infrastructure of which is oil and gas.

 

Jam Petrochemical CEO emphasized that olefins and ethylene are the great capitals in production out of which thousands products are produced and supplied to the domestic and foreign markets.

 

He said: Our production was as much as much as Qatar products, but some changes in the former administration’s strategies caused Qatar to recover 2 to 3 times more than us.

 

He further pointed: We face serious problems in petrochemistry industry and we also face challenges for its development, but relying on our abilities and capabilities and by using our creative and young potential in jam petrochemicals, we could manufacture and localize 3000 pieces and achieve self- sufficiency in this regard.

 

Referring to the issue of privatization, Beheshtian reminded that: divesting several companies to anyone at any price is not certainly privatization. In fact, it is industrial decay.
