HDPE Ⅱ
HDPE Ⅱ
Jam's HDPE II unit, one of the producers of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), was built in 1384 on a 13.3-hectare site as a joint investment between Iran's International Petrochemical company and companies from Thailand and Japan. The complex came on stream on 4 Tir 1388 in the second phase of the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone in Assaluyeh. The design and construction of the Jam HDPE II complex were carried out on the basis of technology from Mitsui Chemicals of Japan (MCI), in cooperation with a consortium of MES and Itochu of Japan and RAMPCO of Iran. World-class and with a nameplate capacity of 300,000 tonnes a year, the complex is one of the HDPE production units built to international standards, and it produces a varied range of HDPE grades using current technology and specialist technical knowledge. Product portfolio The Jam HDPE II complex can produce HDPE grades for a range of applications, the most important of which are:
- Extrusion grades
- Monofilament
- Pipe grades
- Blow moulding
- Injection
- Film
The breadth of the portfolio allows the complex to meet the needs of a wide range of downstream industries, and its products are exported to the domestic market and to countries including China, India, Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia, Russia, Ukraine, the Philippines, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia, among others. One of the complex's flagship products is the 7000F film grade. With suitable physical and mechanical properties, this grade is used to produce a wide range of film products. Its most important applications include wide polythene films used in industrial and agricultural packaging, the food industry, freezer bags of various kinds, vacuum films and thin films of high strength. One technical feature that distinguishes the 7000F grade from competing products on the market is its bimodal, broad molecular weight distribution, which strikes a good balance between the product's mechanical properties and its processability and allows it to be used across a varied range of film applications.
