According to the public and international relations office
Mohammad Jafar Ghaempanah, the President's executive deputy, visited Jam Petrochemical together with the Minister of Energy to see the damaged parts of the complex. Thanking the staff and specialists for their work in containing the incident and beginning reconstruction swiftly, he emphasised the complex's strategic place in the country's petrochemical industry and the need to return it to production as quickly as possible.
According to Jam Petrochemical's public and international relations office, Mohammad Jafar Ghaempanah, continuing his field visits to the southern parts of the country (Assaluyeh) that had been targeted during the American attacks, visited the Jam petrochemical complex in Assaluyeh together with the Minister of Energy and an accompanying delegation, and saw at first hand the progress of reconstruction in the damaged parts of the complex.
After inspecting the damaged sections, Ghaempanah described the complex as one of the most important petrochemical industries in the country, the region and indeed the world, and said: by exchanging feedstock and product with 14 petrochemical complexes in the country, Jam Petrochemical plays a strategic part in the value chain of the petrochemical industry.
Referring to the company's shareholding structure, he added: Jam Petrochemical's principal shareholder is the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare, and the company in effect belongs to the country's retirees; any damage to this complex is therefore damage to the interests and the capital of those retirees.
Thanking the complex's specialists and staff, the President's executive deputy said: from the very first hours, once the fire had been contained, reconstruction began through the efforts of Jam Petrochemical's engineers and staff, and that work is continuing in earnest.
Ghaempanah described the purpose of his presence in the South Pars region and Assaluyeh as thanking the staff of the oil, gas and petrochemical industry for their efforts, and added: our colleagues in this region are serving the country with commitment and a sense of responsibility despite temperatures above 50 degrees. We hope reconstruction will be completed as quickly as possible and that Jam Petrochemical will return to full production in the shortest possible time and resume its effective role in the country's industry and economy.
