Having received a formal licence from the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, Jam Petrochemical has placed the work of its on-site clinic squarely within the framework of national health law and standards. Issued by the body with principal responsibility for health in the country, the licence resolves one of the oil industry's longest-standing challenges in putting the provision of medical services on a lawful footing.
According to Jam Petrochemical's public and international relations office, through sustained follow-up and coordination with the Ministry of Health and with Bushehr Province University of Medical Sciences, the company has obtained a formal licence from the ministry to provide medical services. This is a turning point in raising the legal and professional discipline of health activities in the petrochemical industry.
It is worth noting that, under this permit, Jam Petrochemical's clinic may from now on provide medical services to employees formally and under the supervision of technical officers and the competent authorities. The clinic's work will therefore no longer rest solely on the individual licences of its physicians, but within a defined and durable legal structure.
Given the strict legal requirements in the health field, obtaining this licence both settles the legal standing of the company's medical work and shields the organisation from the legal consequences that could follow from operating without a permit.
This success is the result of sustained effort by Jam Petrochemical's managers, specialists and medical staff to observe national standards, raise the quality of services and meet the country's legal requirements.
